Phase Four

Phase Four refers to an instance where the government has made the decision to close the entire school for an extended period. The steps your child should take mirror those in Phase Three.

In this instance, your child should log onto Google to access their school account. Instructions on how to do this can be seen in this short video:

Your child should ensure they check their emails on a daily basis. In addition, your child should log onto Google Classroom once they have signed in with their school email address and password. Pupils should ensure they have signed into all Google classes as requested by their class teachers by Friday 18 September.

All lessons will be available on Google classroom. Pupils should log into Google classroom every day and follow their timetable as though they were in school. For example, if they had Geography, English and Mathematics on a particular day, they should ensure they completed all the work set within these classrooms for that day. Your child’s teachers will upload work that should be completed and uploaded onto Google classroom, ideally on the same day it is set. The work will be accompanied by clear instructions that are either written or recorded using Screencastify. Pre-recorded lessons may be available for your child to work through in real time, pausing the video at various points to complete the tasks the teacher has set.

Pupils are encouraged to email their class teacher if they are unsure what to do with any of the work set. They can contact their class teacher via the Google classroom for their particular group.

If your child has forgotten their password, please call the school for this information.
